Barry commenced his career as a cost accountant in the mining and manufacturing sectors. He then migrated into the specialised finance environment, initially as a portfolio manager and financial modeller responsible for the administration of complex multi-entity structured finance transactions. Later, exposure included Project Finance Advisory with a major auditing firm, and direct involvement in the structuring and banking of limited recourse and PPP projects from water purification to hospitals and tourism. He is well versed within the agricultural industry, having spent more than a decade as deal maker and project development manager at one of the leading DFIs. Barry’s analytical and modelling skills align with his desire to make a difference, whether it is in the restructuring of debt or the optimisation of funding or operational decisions.
